Start the Morning with Lemon:

Environmental toxins, heavy metals, dehydration, and conventional foods tend to create an acidic environment in the body. For beautiful skin, it is important to bring the body back to a more alkaline state. Rather than heading straight for the coffee pot in the morning, begin the day with a gently heated mug of pure water and add the freshly squeezed juice of one-half to a whole organic lemon. While coffee and the traditional splash of cream tends to promote an acidic environment in the body, lemon water creates a healthy alkaline state.


Juicing:

Nothing promotes healthy, beautiful skin more than good nutrition. Beauty begins from the inside out, so starting the day off with a delicious green juice will fill the body with valuable nutrients and hydration. A simple recipe includes spinach, apple, celery, cucumber, and grapes juiced or, more ideally, blended with a high-powered blender for optimal nutrient absorption.

Dairy, in particular, can spike insulin levels which, in turn, tend to inflame the skin. Try delicious non-dairy alternatives such as almond milk, coconut milk, or rice milk for beautiful skin.

That's right. Coconut oil is not just meant for healthy cooking. This rich, nutritious oil can be used as lip balm or under foundation for smooth, supple skin. In addition to being used as a beauty supplement, coconut oil can also be used all over the body. Massage a dollop of virgin coconut oil into clean, dry skin.
